Equipping Your Kitchen

 

It’s said that a bad workman blames his tools, nevertheless having good kitchen equipment can cut your work time in half and make it a lot more pleasant.

 

1 very good quality medium size knife             

A paring knife                                          

Knife sharpener or steel

Flat grater

Box Grater

Rubber spatula

Tongs x 2                                                       Ladle                                                         Serving spoon                                             Slotted spoon                                             Potato masher                                              Whisk

Egg lifter

A good pepper grinder/pestle and mortar         Wooden spoons

Wooden spatula

Steamer

Colander

Sieve

Scales

Measuring cup

Stick blender

A good food processor (optional)

 

Saucepans

I recommend stainless steel saucepans over non-stick, they will last forever. Make sure all your saucepan and fry pans have well-fitting lids and a thick base for even heat distribution.
